Day 01 Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi by flight. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer
to hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Delhi / Sariska by surface 195 Kms
Breakfast at hotel.
Morning sightseeing of Old and New Delhi.
In Old Delhi visit Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India. Visit
Raj Ghat – memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Drive past Chandi Chowk, once
an imperial
avenue of Mughal Royalty which today is the busiest commercial area of
the city. Walk through Chandni Chowk to savour the ambience of an
oriental bazaar.
In New Delhi Visit the 12th century Qutab Minar, gracefully hand-
carved for its entire height of 234ft, and the iron pillar, which has
withstood the ravages of time and not rusted even after 1500 years.
Drive past the India Gate (war memorial dedicated to the lives of laid
down by the Indian soldiers), the president's residence - formerly the
Viceroy's Palace, parliament House and the Secretariat buildings, - an
interesting
blend of the Victorian and 20th century architecture.
Later depart by surface for Sariska and on arrival check-in at hotel.
Enjoy Camel Cart safari to near by villages – enjoy tea /coffee with
cookies during the visit. Our guide will interpret between villagers
and tourists. This excursion will provide an insight into country side
life.

Day 03 Sariska / Mandawa by surface 216 Kms
Early morning enjoy Jeep Safari through Sariska National Park.
Sariska National Park, Rajasthan's second tiger reserve that holds dry
deciduous forest, 27,380 hectares in area. Its dense forests spread
over the Aravallis, making its terrain an ideal one for the tiger.
Sariska's forests are inhabited by variety of other wildlife which
include the Leopard, Porcupine, Chowsingha, Rhesus monkeys and Langur.
A half day visit to the park for wildlife viewing. The Park is open
from 7 am to 4 pm (October end February) and from 6.30 am to 5 pm
during the rest of the year.
Return to hotel for breakfast at hotel.
Afternoon depart by surface for Mandawa and on arrival check-in at
hotel.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 04 Mandawa / Jaipur by surface 167 Kms
Breakfast at hotel.
Morning sightseeing of Mandawa - a small town, has many Havelis and
temples. The Havelis, mansions of the erstwhile rich Marwari traders
were profusely frescoed inside and outside and some of these are still
in good shape.
Later depart by surface for Jaipur enroute visiting Nawalgarh and on
arrival check-in at hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 05 In Jaipur
Breakfast at hotel.
Morning excursion to Amber fort. Amber is a classic, romantic
Rajasthani Fort Palace. The rugged, time-ravaged walls of the Fort may
not look beautiful from the outside, but the interior is a virtual
paradise. Miniatures painted on the walls depict hunting and war
scenes, apart from festivals. Precious stones and mirrors are embedded
into the plaster. Inside the Fort visit the Jag Mandir or the Hall of
Victory. Inside the Jag Mandir is the famed Sheesh Mahal - a room with
all the four walls and ceiling completely embedded with glittering
mirror pieces, which were specially imported from Belgium during that
period. Enroute to Amber Fort, you will have a brief photography stop
at Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds.
Afternoon city tour begins with a visit to the Maharaja's City Palace,
the former Royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. A
small portion is still used by the Royal family of Jaipur. Built in
the style of a fortified campus, the palace covers almost one-seventh in area of the city. One of the major attractions in the
museum is the portion known as Armoury Museum housing an impressive
array of weaponry-pistols,
blunderbusses, flintlocks, swords, rifles and daggers. The royal
families of Jaipur once used most of these weapons. Later visit the
Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted
observatory in the world. Situated near the gate of the city palace,
the observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in
working condition.

Day 06 Jaipur / Bharatpur by surface 176 Kms
Breakfast at hotel.
Morning depart by surface for Bharatpur and on arrival check-in at
hotel.
Evening proceed for excursion to near by villages by bicycle / jeep to
near by village. (Person who cannot ride bicycles will be taken by
jeeps) Meet the villagers and village head over a session to tea /
coffee with cookies.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 07 Bharatpur / Agra by surface 54 Kms
Early morning visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
Bharatpur is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town of Bharatpur was
basically a royal hunting retreat. Bharatpur is however, more known
due to its proximity to the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, which is a
bird watchers paradise.
Return to hotel for breakfast and depart by surface for Agra en route
visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Located 40 Km from Agra, the deserted city of
Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, in honour of the
great Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti who blessed Akbar and prophesized the
birth of three sons to the heirless Emperor. Akbar used Fatehpur Sikri
as his capital and the city was fully occupied for 14 years but slowly
became deserted and ruined after Akbar left the city. Scarcity of
water was the prime factor for the abandonment of this beautiful city.
Visit the remarkably well-preserved, graceful buildings within the
'Ghost City' including the Jama Masjid, tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch
Mahal Palace and other palaces that speak of the grandeur and
splendour of the Mughal empire at the height of its power.
Continue drive to Agra and on arrival check-in at hotel. Later visit
the world famous Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in 1630 for his queen
Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel
is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble
that stands testimony to the skill of 20,000 craftsmen brought
together from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy and who took 17 years
to complete this 'Love Poem in Marble'. (Taj Mahal is closed on
Fridays). Enjoy Tonga ride from Taj parking to Taj entrance gate.
Also visit the Agra fort containing the halls of private and public
audience and other palaces.

Day 08 Agra / Jhansi by Train 2002 Shatabdi Express
Jhansi / Khajuraho by surface 170 Kms
Breakfast at hotel.
Morning after breakfast transfer to Agra Cantt railway station to
connect Train 2002 Shatabdi Express for Jhansi (Departure: 0815 hrs
Arrival: 1032 hrs) Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to
Khajuraho en route visiting Orcha.
Orchha's grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time, a rich
legacy of the ages. For this medieval city, the hand of time has
rested and the palaces and the temples built by its Bundela rulers in
the 16th and 17th century retain much of their pristine perfection.
Jehangir Mahal, a tiered palace crowned by graceful Chhatries,
commands a spectacular view of soaring temple-spires and cenotaphs.
Continue drive to Khajuraho and on arrival check-in at hotel.

Day 09 In Khajuraho
Breakfast at hotel.
Full day sightseeing of temples. Visit the Western Group of temples,
the most important temple being the Kandariya Mahadeo Temple-dedicated
to Lord Shiva. It is one of the largest and most typical of the
Khajuraho temples. Visit the Chaunsat Yogini Jain Temple-dedicated to
the 64 "Yoginis" or attendants of Goddess Kali. This temple stands
apart from the rest. Also see the Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with
a lovely sculpture of Lord Vishnu in his 11-headed form. The
sculptures that adorn the temples, carved in stone depict gods,
goddesses and amorous couples. Later visit the Eastern Group of
temples including the Ghantai Temple, Vamana Temple dedicated to the "Vamana"
or dwarf incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the Javari Temple. There are
also three Jain Temples with beautiful carvings and non-erotic
sculptures. Although these are Jain temples, they also contain
numerous Vaishnav deities.

Day 10 Khajuraho / Varanasi by flight 9W 724
Breakfast at hotel.
Morning in time transfer to airport to connect flight 9W 724 for
Varanasi.
(Departure: 1330 hrs / Arrival: 1410 hrs) Meeting and assistance on
arrival and transfer to hotel.
Evening proceed for city tour of Varanasi by bicycle. Experience
Varanasi intimately when you go on a leisurely rickshaw, ride through
the narrow streets and alleys of Varanasi. In the evening the Ghats
and temples are lit with oil-lamp lights or candles. Participate in an
Arti Ceremony (collective prayer) and watch the floating Diyas (lamps)
on the river Ganges.

Day 11 Varanasi / Delhi by flight S2 115
Early morning enjoy boat cruise over River Ganges. The western banks
of Ganges has a string of Ghats - the chain of stone steps, all built
with pavilions, palaces and terraces, most of which are mainly used as
Dharamsalas where the pilgrims stay during their visit to the holy
city. At dawn, the Ghats are abuzz with activity of the devotees
performing their ablutions in the river or offering prayers to the
rising sun and performing other religious rituals. A boat ride along
the Ghats gives you vantage views of this activity. The sunrise on the
Ganges is a soul-lifting experience. Later, visit the Vishwanath
temple, also called the golden temple because of the gold-plating on
its roof
Return to hotel for breakfast.
Afternoon at leisure.
In time transfer to airport to connect flight IT 265 for Delhi
(Departure: 1545 hrs / Arrival: 1700 hrs) Meeting and assistance on
arrival and transfer to city hotel / restaurant for dinner.

After dinner in time transfer to International airport to connect
flight Austrian Air for Vienna.
